This tool will work on most common TLDs, and many less-common TLDs, like .mc, .nu (Monaco, and world’s smallest nation:Niue, respectively) provided that it has a whois server.

Frames . . still suck!
Re-stating the obvious: Frames Suck (Most of the Time). This tool may/may not work on websites using ONLY frames (data inserted in the first one, regardless of it’s size).
Most of the time, you’ll find what you are looking for, other times you may stumble upon a complete madness/cheekiness like this (for microsoft.com):

Sidenote:
IE’s inconsistency: IE7 recognizes \r\n as a SINGLE line break.. no problem, you say.. but then IE8 comes around and says \n is a SINGLE line break too, because it finally got sane and on par with the rest of the world.. but wait.. it also keeps the old \r, so now \r\n is a DOUBLE line break in IE8..oh sh¥%!
